Our Almshouses
The aim of Hawley Almshouses is to provide convenient and comfortable accommodation in a safe setting that allows its elderly residents to live independent lives, coming and going as they please. The day to day running of Hawley Almshouses is carried out by the Scheme Manager, under the direction of the Board of Trustees.
In total Hawley Almshouses has 18 properties, each with its own 24 hour emergency communication system.
The main Hawley Almshouses site is located in Blackwater.
The Hawley Road site features 10 self contained cottages and Ratcliffe House.
which contains an Almshouse flat, the Trust’s office, a communal room and kitchen.
The site of our other Almshouses is at Hawley Green, just half a mile away.
